What the quiz collects

The quiz collects your selected answers about scent preferences, occasion, climate and budgets. It does not require a photo, name, email address or account. Your draft answers are kept in your browser session so you can go back and edit them.

When you request a result, your answers are sent to our service to generate and store your profile. The service runs on Cloudflare. Normal hosting and security processing may involve technical request information such as your IP address.

Private profiles and retention

Unpaid profiles are normally kept for up to 30 days, with a short grace period for active checkouts. Paid profiles and plan access are kept for up to 365 days. You can delete a profile sooner using “Manage saved answers” on its result page. Deletion removes the saved answers and report access, including access to a purchased plan. Download a copy first if you want to keep it.

Access uses a private token stored in your browser session. A saved private link includes that token. Anyone who has the full private link can open your profile and plan. Keep it private; do not post it publicly.

Notes on your plan

The comparison notes log is saved in your browser’s local storage. Those notes are not sent to our server. Clearing browser data removes them. A PDF or printed copy that you create is under your control.

Payments

If you buy a plan, the payment provider handles checkout and payment details. We do not store card details. Financial order records are retained separately from quiz answers for payment administration and record keeping. Deleting your profile does not erase the provider’s payment records.

How people find a useful result

On public pages, this browser tab remembers only a broad entry topic and source category: a recognized search service, What Colors Suit Me, another referral, or direct access. This uses session storage, not a tracking cookie. We do not save the page URL, URL parameters, full referrer, exact search terms, private links or access tokens in attribution.

When you complete the quiz, those two categories are saved with the profile, together with a country code supplied by Cloudflare when available. We do not copy an IP address into the profile or attribution. A checkout date and verified payment or refund status let us compare completed profiles and their outcomes in aggregate. One profile counts once even if it has multiple orders. These counts describe saved profiles, not distinct people.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this attribution and browser activity counting. A signal clears the tab’s stored attribution; the next authenticated result, report or checkout request also clears attribution already attached to that profile. The free quiz, private result and purchases still work. Profile deletion or expiry removes its attribution. Necessary hosting, security and separate financial records continue to support the service. No third-party tracker or advertising cookie is added.

Analytics and marketing

This site does not set third-party analytics or advertising cookies. We do not sell quiz answers or use them to send marketing email.

We keep daily totals of activity such as quiz starts, completed profiles, offers viewed and paid orders to understand how the service is used. These activity counters do not contain your answers, name, email address or a visitor identifier. They count actions, so they do not tell us how many distinct people used the site.
