The method behind the shortlist
A useful brief.
An honest starting point.
What Perfume Fits Me is an independent editorial tool for choosing what to sample next. We make a small search easier to act on.
What the quiz does
We compare your favorite direction, curiosity, strongest note dislike, desired intensity, climate, occasion and budgets with a curated catalog. Family fit carries the most weight. Your exploration preference changes how much weight we give the second direction. Price and setting help sort the remaining candidates.
We skip samples recorded as out of stock. When you choose a note to avoid, we exclude catalog entries tagged for that note, including undisclosed note lists. The first three results favor different brands. This is a preference filter based on descriptions; a missing listed note does not prove a product lacks an ingredient.
What is verified
The initial catalog covers 15 fragrances from 12 brands. It uses exact sample variants at the US retailer Luckyscent. Fourteen samples across 11 brands were listed in stock on September 13, 2026. The sample sizes, prices, currency and availability are recorded with that date and direct links in the sample library.
This is a cross-brand selection from one retailer. We do not claim to search every shop or find the cheapest price. Stock can change between a source check and your visit. Shipping eligibility, taxes and any import charges depend on the retailer and your destination.
What is editorial
Our family, intensity and climate tags interpret the published descriptions. We have not performed a controlled wear test of this catalog, and we do not invent a percentage match, measured longevity or verified projection. Your own sampling notes are the evidence that matters for your taste.
Guides distinguish linked product or manufacturer information from our suggested comparison exercises. Product names belong to their owners. There is no implied endorsement or partnership.
What pays for the site
The free quiz gives three sample suggestions. An optional $12 digital report adds an expanded shortlist, sample-budget allocation and testing notebook. That plan fee supports the service. The catalog has no sponsored placements or affiliate links. We do not ship samples or collect payment for perfume bottles.
Privacy and corrections
No email, name or photo is needed for the quiz. Private results use a secret access link; report notes stay in your browser. Read how storage and deletion work.
